Fix Driveway | Dallas/Fort Worth | NorTex Concrete Lift & Stabilization
Have you noticed faulting, cracking, or other issues with your DFW driveway? As driveways deteriorate, the costs of repairing them can compound. Don’t let it happen to you.
When you could call a crew to do a large scale fix, doing a smaller scale project will save you time and money, and keep your driveway accessible to your family. Driveway repair is a straightforward process with NorTex’s approach, because we don’t use new concrete. Instead, we repair the concrete that’s already there.
We use unique tools to perform our work, meaning you don’t have to wait days for concrete to dry. Even better, we use technology to diagnose why your driveway is faulting or cracking to prevent it from happening in the future.
Springtime Rains vs. Your Topsoil (and the Soil Beneath)
As Ft. Worth and Dallas prepare to face another year of torrential rains, the soil under your driveway may be facing the same result. Rains can damage soil, and cause runoff to undermine the strength of your driveway. Combined with fluctuating warm temperatures in the weeks that follow, you’ll get a damaged drive.
So whether you’re located in Forest Hill, Edgecliff, Benbrook, Fairmount, Ridglea Hills, Westworth Village, Westover Hills, River Oaks, Sansom Park, Melody Hills, Haltom City, Richland Hills, Irving, Grand Prairie, or Arlington, you’ll have no doubt had to deal with this trouble.
Luckily, NorTex has tons of experience in diagnosing driveway issues, especially when it comes to soil health. This is the NorTex advantage over a basic concrete/driveway repair service: our approach is not one-size-fits-all, because there isn’t one size for every customer.
Soil Densification: Our Wizardry
When it comes to studying your driveway, NorTex considers both the soil at the depth of 2 feet, as well as soil as deep as 8 feet. That’s right, you could stand in the depth of the ground we’re considering!
You might wonder, why go to such lengths to study eight feet of ground when we’re only going to fix a one inch layer of driveway right on the surface?
Soil densification is likely a major reason your driveway is faulting the way it is. Yes, even soil problems at a deeper level than you can stand will result in damages to your driveway years down the road, and maybe already.
How to fix Soil Densification for your Driveway
NorTex utilizes a combination of tools when we mend your driveway. If we suspect soil densification may be the root of driveway issues, we’ll perform a diagnostic test first:
PENETROMETER MEASURING
Our penetrometer method is how we determine the difference between topsoil issues and deep soil issues.
The penetrometer enables NorTex to identify problem areas in the soil, rather than rely on guesswork. Moreover, it means that we don’t have to do digging of any kind, and can repair your driveway completely above ground.
POLYURETHANE FOAM INJECTION
Foam may not sound strong, but just give our foam a few minutes to settle, and it’ll be as foundational as the driveway it supports. We use revolutionary synthetic products to stabilize pavement and ensure that holes in the ground below your driveway are totally filled.
We use foam to raise or lower broken driveway panels, and level them out as a result. When we make this sort of fix, you’ll find that your driveway concrete wasn’t bad. Instead, it was the ground beneath areas that the penetrometer identified.
