Concrete Repair Dallas Fort Worth

Have you noticed faulting, cracking, or other issues with your DFW concrete? As driveways, sidewalks, and foundations deteriorate, the costs of repairing them can add up. Let’s fix the problem at the source so you don’t have to call in a full construction crew to replace the concrete altogether.

NorTex keeps DFW moving thanks to technology, and new tools that attack the source of concrete problems, rather than just taking time and money to replace the concrete, only to have to break again months later!

Long gone are the days of waiting for concrete to dry, and suffering through large, loud machinery in your neighborhood. NorTex is your solution when it comes to a quick and inexpensive solution for your concrete repair needs.

Rains versus your Concrete | Ft. Worth Concrete Repair

As Ft. Worth and Dallas prepare to face another year of torrential rains, the soil under your concrete may be facing the same result. While water won’t damage the hard rock that constitutes your concrete, the damage it does to the ground below can be much more severe, and longer lasting.

So whether you’re located in Forest Hill, Westworth Village, Edgecliff, Fairmount, Benbrook, Ridglea Hills, Westover Hills, Melody Hills, River Oaks, Sansom Park, Haltom City, Richland Hills, Grand Prairie, Irving, or Arlington, we’re here to help.

Luckily, NorTex has tons of experience in diagnosing driveway issues, especially when it comes to soil health. This is the NorTex advantage over a basic concrete/driveway repair service: our approach is not one-size-fits-all, because there isn’t one size for every customer.

The Issue: Soil Densification | Dallas Concrete Repair

Did you know that issues with your concrete could be caused by ground as deep as 8 feet below the surface? It seems strange, but the best fix for your concrete repair project may lie down there, rather than the top few inches of the ground.

The complicated name for this problem is densification. Luckily, we know plenty about soil densification and your concrete, so you don’t have to. When we go to work fixing DFW concrete, we focus on soil, placement, and many other factors to provide the best solutions for your Ft. Worth/Dallas home or business.

How to fix Soil Densification, Concrete

If we suspect that densification may be the problem with your concrete, we’ll start by measuring the amount of densification and the depth, and then follow that study by injecting high strength foam beneath the surface of the fault.

PENETROMETER TOOL USAGE

The fancy word for our soil densification measuring tool is the penetrometer.

We’ll place the penetrometer through small holes in your concrete, which we easily fill once we’ve used them. Across the plane of the concrete slab, this process gives us a better picture of where the problems lie, and how we can best repair your concrete.

Even if your issue isn’t soil densification, the penetrometer is great for telling us one way or the other, so that we don’t rely on guesswork when fixing your concrete.

POLYURETHANE FOAM

Polyurethane foam is a fantastic tool when it comes to fixing concrete like we do at NorTex. We’re able to inject the foam as far down as eight feet, and the foam expands to fill any gap or area of soil that’s eroded away. When it does so, the foam hardens to concrete strength, meaning you now have a solid foundation for your slab.

So this is why we advise clients, no matter who they choose for their concrete repair job, to at least let us perform a diagnostic before they call a whole crew to work hard, rather than calling us to work smart.
