Fix your DFW sidewalk today, before Spring storms affect crew scheduling.
In between Winter and Summer, make sure your sidewalk is fixed.
The combination of winter temperatures and spring rains typically spells disaster for an old sidewalk, and any cracks or faults that already exist will only be exacerbated by the impending downpours.
The change in temperature causes your sidewalk to expand and contract on a microscopic level, but when that continues on a wider scale, that’s where minor damage gets worse.
NorTex fixes not only the sidewalk, but more importantly the ground beneath the sidewalk. Much like flat tires may not need to be fully replaced, but can instead be patched and refilled with air, so too NorTex takes a foundational approach to sidewalk repair.
NorTex fixes the following, all across Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington:
-Faulting Sidewalks
-Cracking Sidewalks
-Ponds of Sidewalk Water
-Uneven Sidewalks
We Won’t Replace The Sidewalk!
We want to save you time and money, so we won’t show up with a cement truck or steamroller. We’ll bring the tools that will actually provide you with a quick and easy fix. Ranked by the degree of repair done, the following techniques bring us the results our customers across North Texas need most:
Small Scale - JOINT SEALANT APPLICATION
Sidewalks can separate all the time, whether it happens between the concrete panels, or between the path and a connecting curb. Both our sealant, and our method of application, are excellent in terms of providing a quick and inexpensive fix that may be just out of your reach as a handyman.
Medium Scale - POLYGRINDING
If there’s a panel of concrete that’s sticking up just a small bit, it may seem minor, but that could have already popped a bicycle tire, or caused a family member to trip and fall. No more!
We use polygrinding in the same way that you might use sandpaper: a drill allows us to soften the slope of a fault line, meaning an end to the negative effects of uneven soil.
Large Scale - POLYURETHANE FOAM INJECTION
If a fault line is too extreme for polygrinding alone, or is getting worse, then we may choose to inject state-of-the-art polyurethane foam beneath it. In doing so, we are able to level the largest and heaviest of sidewalk panels to a neutral position, which in turn allows us to seal them back together for a smooth walking experience.
This foam raises the concrete slab as we measure injection levels, putting the sidewalk back to a level plane. When we allow the foam to harden over the course of a few minutes to an hour, it remains solid forever, and can support heavy loads indefinitely.
