Did you know that DFW used to be an ocean?
That’s right! Many millions of years ago, Dallas, Fort Worth, and everywhere around us would have been totally underwater.
Since those days, things have dried up a bit, most of all our Texas topsoil. Brittle, uneven, and subject to erosion, the ground left behind by the ocean age is unkind to anything you try to place on top of it, most of all concrete.
So what does the age of dinosaurs have to do with your driveway, patio, or sidewalk: it puts you concrete at risk.
If you’ve noticed Texas rains running water under your driveways, or you’ve noticed parking lots collecting pond water, you should consider taking preemptive action. These are signs that your concrete may need a lift or a repair to prevent a much more expensive repair.
The Risk
Just as sturdy homes are built on solid foundations, so too must the concrete in and around a home be maintained. Walkways, pools, and driveways have increased in number as North Texas grows in size and population, opening up new areas for water runoff to create problems. When those problems go unchecked, you’ll be forced to pay large sums to repave your concrete.
So instead, trust NorTex to perform a lift or repair to your concrete, to avoid the need for a later repaving.
The Signs of Trouble
Look for the following types of issues, many of which indicate immediate need for concrete lift or repair:
**Cracked concrete slabs, separated at sagging points or points of tension.
**Uneven concrete, which can most easily be spotted when rainwater or sprinkler runoff pools in a corner of the property.
**Water flow that originates under the concrete, or flows beneath it.
**Soil erosion caused by rains, wild animals, or yard work.
When you notice any or all of the above, act fast and contact NorTex, wherever you’re located in the North Texas, Fort Worth, or Dallas areas. The above signs of trouble are harbingers of severe cracks, fault lines, and damage that requires much more intensive repair.
Our Solutions
Nortex is very familiar with both large industrial and small residential projects, and won’t turn your home or yard into a construction site. Our work is fast, compared to industry standards, and we’ll have your home’s concrete repaired in as soon as one hour.
Our specialty is in the injection of construction-grade foam beneath the concrete, which re-levels the plane, and returns support to previously vacant space. Our foam process is minimally invasive, and requires a hole to be drilled in the surface. Then, the foam is injected until the concrete is level again. When the pavement is level, the foam hardens into solid form, and we repair the injection site, and also mend the fault, if applicable.
Foam Injection Benefits
-There is very little waiting time when allowing the repairs to dry, especially compared to a hardening concrete slab. Your friends, neighbors, and customers will be able to walk or drive over the surface very soon thereafter.
-Our repair restores peace of mind that your concrete is no longer a threat to the safety of children, pets, or vehicle tires.
-Whether we’re working on pools, decks, sport courts, or driveways, we leave our workspaces cleaner than when we arrived, and perfectly level as well. You’ll have a lasting repair that will survive years of DFW rainfall, animal mischief, and yard work mishaps.
-Due to the lack of cement paving required, we don’t have to bring in a cement mixer, or occupy your neighborhood or workplace with loud machinery. Long gone are the days when the Homeowner’s Association president would come knocking on your door asking to see a permit.
