NorTex Technology is Key | Dallas Concrete Repair | Fort Worth Concrete Sidewalk Division
When we use technology on your concrete surface, that means we opt to detect problems from the surface, rather than having to dig, excavate, or jackhammer. The result is a quieter and cleaner approach to a typically messy task.
Whether you’re looking for repairs to a large concrete surface, or want to make some minor adjustments to staircases, handicapped ramps, and more, NorTex can craft jobs of any shape or scale.
Instead of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, NorTex is committed to preserving the concrete you already have. This not only saves you money and time, but leads to a more effective job when we’ve finished. That’s because NorTex is committed to targeting the parts of the ground that caused the issues in the first place.
How to fix DFW Concrete
NorTex relies on state-of-the-art technology when we fix residential and commercial concrete, including but not limited to:
PENETROMETER MEASUREMENT
Summer heat causes concrete to expand and contract, just like the air in a container, but to a much smaller degree. However, over an area of tens to hundreds of square feet, concrete shape shifting can lead to the issues that you now find on your surface, and that compounds with the change in volume of the soil beneath the foundation.
While it’s simple to see where your concrete has faulted on the surface level, it’s not so easy to discover sinkholes and subsurface problem areas that lead your DFW concrete to dip and crack. Even more difficult is finding subsurface issues that can go as deep as eight feet beneath the ground.
So our penetrometer identifies those problem areas, sinkholes, and more, but without the need to dig to that level or tear up your lawn to get there. Our penetrometer is non-invasive, as is our use of our second tool.
POLYURETHANE FOAM INJECTION
While foam seems counterintuitive in concrete repair, this foam has been used on streets, roadways, and bridges across Dallas/Ft. Worth, so it’s good enough for whatever you need it to do!
The foam allows our technicians to fill problem areas they’ve found with their penetrometer survey. Again though, the injection is done with minimally invasive techniques, meaning all your existing concrete gets to stay exactly where it was before, but far more level than it was, and completely mended too.
When the foam fills the sink holed sections of the ground, your driveway will even out, and at that point, we’ll work on the surface layer of the existing concrete. Before long, it will be good-as-new, and long into the future it will remain just as firm.
